ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial & Payroll Analyst to support the company’s growth with corporate financial planning and workforce management. In this dual-capacity role, you will spend about 70% of your time on core financial analysis (budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting) and 30% managing our end-to-end payroll operations through our co-employment platform.
Because our payroll, benefits administration, and employer tax filings are managed through a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), your payroll responsibilities will focus heavily on data integrity, hourly tracking oversight, compliance, and PEO invoice reconciliation rather than manual tax calculations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong corporate finance background and a solid understanding of payroll structures and workforce analytics.

- Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis comparing actual financial results against budgeted baselines.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with department leaders to build, update, and maintain corporate budgets and rolling financial forecasts.
- Ad-Hoc Modeling: Build robust financial models to support strategic business decisions, capital allocation, and ROI assessments.
2. Payroll & PEO Administration (30%)
- Liaison to PEO: Coordinate with our PEO provider to facilitate smooth payroll cycle administration.
- Data Verification: Collect, review, and verify employee timecards, commissions, bonuses, and expense reimbursements before approving the final PEO batch runs.
- General Ledger Integration: Prepare and upload accurate payroll-related journal entries and reconcile related balance sheet accounts.
- Employee Support: Serve as the internal point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries, benefit deduction discrepancies, time off accruals, escalating complex matters to the PEO as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
Experience: 4+ years of experience working as a Financial Analyst or Corporate Accountant

- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite a plus.
Soft skills: High level of precision with numbers, attention to detail, strict discretion with handling sensitive/confidential information and strong cross-functional communication.
Preferred
